General Comments:
I am a certified Jungian analyst and licensed clinical psychologist in San Diego, California. I work with a ride range of emotional, behavioral and creative issues providing services that integrate compimentary therapy approaches with Jungian psychoanalytic therapy (depth psychotherapy), relevant to each client's presenting situation. I offer an individualized approach to my client's needs to help attain the personal growth and goals they are seeking. The hopes and core values of each client are treated with compassion and respect. It is my experience that as human beings, we all face challenging life situations in various ways: relational, personal, emotional, physical and spiritual. Common reasons people choose to work with me are: individual Jungian analysis, counseling for therapists, issues of personal growth, dream work, changes related to stage-of-life transitions, loss, stress reduction, depression, anxiety, feelings of emptiness, blocked creativity, grief, a variety of relationship concerns, increased mindfulness, enhanced self understanding and development of healthy coping skills. We work together in a context of confidentiality and trust. Jungian analysis is a form of face-to-face psychotherapy which addresses the interaction of conscious and unconscious factors, bringing the latter into consciousness in order to focus on life experiences that can create feelings of meaninglessness, exhaution and spiritual emptiness. Jungian psychoanalytical therapy identifies long-standing patterns, feelings, and negative perceptions. Working with dreams often awakens untapped creativity. Dream analysis addresses the symbolic level of the symptom or issue, taking into consideration the history of the issue, its origin and development in order to understand the underlying and not yet conscious meaning of the symptom or problem. When clients indicate an interest, I address spirituality in the context of their concerns.
