CE Requirements for Marriage and Family Therapists (MFT) in Texas

A licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) in Texas must complete 30 hours of continuing education (CE) every 2 years, including a minimum of 6 credit hours in ethics.

A licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT Associate) in Texas must complete 15 hours of continuing education (CE) every 2 years, including a minimum of 6 credit hours in ethics.

Texas LMFTs can take 12 CE credits each renewal period via distance learning (online or homestudy) and LMFT Associates can take 6 CE credits each renewal period via distance learning (online or homestudy).
