Continuing Education (CE) for Colorado Social Workers

CE requirements for CO social workers:

  • 40 PDH (professional development hours) every 2 years
  • No more than 20 PDH in a single PDA (or category)
  • 1 clock hour = 1 PDH

Professional development hours (PDH) must be directly relevant to competence in the social work field. Activities should provide new knowledge, skills, or attitudes and sharpen or expand existing skills.

CE Approvals: The Colorado State Board of Social Work Examiners does not approve courses, but will accept relevant courses from ASWB and NBCC approved providers. At Health, Inc. is approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP # 6719. Programs for social workers are available for continuing education credit through the co-sponsorship of At Health, Inc., and Amedco, LLC. Amedco, #1346, is approved as a provider for social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB), through the Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Amedco maintains responsibility for the program.
