Continuing Education for LPC and LPES in South Carolina

CE requirements for SC counselors (LPC, LMFT, LPES):

LPCs and LMFTs

  • 40 clock hours of CE related to their respective professional license every 2 years
  • 15 credits can be taken online
  • Persons licensed both as LPC and LMFT must complete 50 hours of formal continuing education during every two-years. Of 50 hours, at least 25 hours must be related to each discipline.

Licensed PsychoEducational Specialists (LPES)

  • 40 clock hours of CE related to their respective professional license every 2 years
  • 15 credits can be taken online

CE Approvals:The SC Board of Examiners for Licensure of Professional Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists and Psycho-Educational Specialists accepts courses from providers approved by NBCC. At Health is an NBCC Approved Continuing Education Provider (ACEP #6719).
