Continuing Education for Professional Counselors in Colorado

CE requirements for CO licensed professional counselors (LPC):

  • 40 PDH (professional development hours) every 2 years
  • No more than 20 PDH in a single PDA (or category)
  • 1 clock hour = 1 PDH

Professional development hours (PDH) must enhance, improve or develop competence in professional counseling and be directly relevant to your learning plan and learning goals.

CE Approvals: The Colorado State Board of Licensed Professional Counselor Examiners does not approve courses, but will accept relevant courses from NBCC approved providers. At Health, Inc. is approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP # 6719.
