Continuing Education for Social Workers in Michigan

CE requirements for MI social workers (LMSW, LBSW):

  • 45 hours of continuing education every 3 years, including 5 hours in ethics, 2 hours in pain and symptom management, and at least one hour in identifying victims of human trafficking
  • One-half (22.5) of the required CE hours can be taken online

CE Approvals: The Michigan Board of Social Work accepts programs from ASWB approved sponsors. Our courses are also co-sponsored for social workers by Amedco, LLC. Amedco, LLC, is approved as a provider (ASWB Provider # 1346) for continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB)
