Subject Matter Expert:

Steven Taylor, PhD, a clinical psychologist and professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of British Columbia, Canada, and co-leader of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) funded New Emerging Team called the Traumatic Stress Group. For ten years he was associate editor of Behavior Research and now is an associate editor of the Journal of Cognitive Psychotherapy. Dr. Taylor has published over 200 journal articles and book chapters. He has also published over a dozen books, including Advances in the Treatment of Posttraumatic Stress Disorders; Clinician's Guide to PTSD: A Cognitive Behavioral Approach; and It's Not All in Your Head: How Worrying About Your Health Could Be Making You Sick and What You Can Do About It.

Barbara Alexander, LCSW, BCD, is a graduate of the Smith College School for Social Work and the Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy Program of the Chicago Institute for Psychoanalysis. After working for 13 years in child psychiatric settings and 30 years in private practice, she is now founder and president of On Good Authority, and an expert interviewer.
