Recreating partnership couples therapy is based on the assumption that couples, no matter how chronic or long-standing their problems, also have strengths and resources and a capacity for working together, which are often unrecognized. Veteran therapists Phillip Ziegler and Tobey Hiller provide a pragmatic approach to couples therapy that is solution-oriented, collaborative, and strength-based with the couple at the center of the process.

Author Bio
Phillip Ziegler, MFT, has over 30 years of clinical experience. He currently teaches, consults and maintains a private psychotherapy and family mediation practice in Oakland, CA. His past experience includes being clinical director of Xanthos Family Service Agency in Alameda, CA, training director of the San Francisco Community Boards Alternative Dispute Resolution Program, and an adjunct faculty member in the Psychology Graduate Program at John F. Kennedy University in Orinda, CA.
He is co-author with his wife, Tobey Hiller, of the highly acclaimed book, "Recreating Partnership: A Solution-Oriented, Collaborative Approach To Couples Therapy" (W. W. Norton, 2001).
Tobey Hiller, MFT, is a psychotherapist, certified psychodramatist, and organizational consultant. Both therapists have extensive experience teaching consulting, and leading training workshops.
