CE requirements for ID social workers (LCSW, LSW, LMSW):
- Twenty (20) hours of continuing education (CE) every year, including 1 hour of professional ethics
- ID Board accepts Internet based courses and home study as long as it’s interactive or there is an examination. All of the athealth.com courses include an examination.
- The subject matter of all continuing education shall be germane to the practice of social work and may include the specialties of marriage and family therapy, psychiatry, psychiatric nursing, or psychology.
CE Approvals
The Idaho Board of Social Work Examiners accepts courses sponsored or approved by professional associations.At Health, LLC, Provider #1707, is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved as ACE providers. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. At Health, LLC, maintains responsibility for this course. ACE provider approval period: 5/3/2023-5/3/2026.
ID social workers can earn all twenty (20) of their continuing education credits online through athealth.com.
