- Identify treatment problems and assess a patient's suitability for brief CBT
- Use strategies for developing a strong therapeutic relationship
- Develop a treatment plan for patients
- Orient the patient to brief CBT
- Demonstrate a technique to address and manage dysfunctional thoughts and beliefs
- Use behavior strategies for positive patient change
- Demonstrate at least two relaxation techniques for reducing stress and anxiety
