Continuing Education for Connecticut Psychologists

Attention: Several states and disciplines have relaxed requirements regarding live / in person Continuing Education due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Please check with your board to see the most current requirements.

CE requirements for CT psychologists (PhD, PsyD):

  • Ten hours of continuing education every year
  • After Jan 1, 2016 CE shall include not less than two contact hours of training or education (and not less than once every six years thereafter) on the topic of mental health conditions common to veterans and family members of veterans, including (A) determining whether a patient is a veteran or family member of a veteran, (B) screening for conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder, risk of suicide, depression and grief, and (C) suicide prevention training.
  • 5 hours can be earned online
