Continuing Education for Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT) in Massachusetts

Licensed marriage and family therapists (LMFT) in Massachusetts are required to take thirty (30) hours of continuing education (CE) every 2 years

  • Thirty (30) hours of CE every 2 years
  • Fifteen (15) of the required 30 contact hours of continuing education activities may derive from home study or on-line programming.

CE credits are acceptable if approved by

  • American Assoc. Marriage & Family Therapy (AAMFT)
  • or Massachusetts Assoc. Marriage & Family Therapist (MAMFT)
