Continuing Education for Social Workers in Minnesota

CE requirements for MN social workers (LSW, LGSW, LISW, LICSW):

  • All licensees must earn 40 CE hours, including 2 hours in ethics every 2 years
  • LICSW licensees must take 24 of the 40 CE hours in clinical content
  • Licensing supervisors must take 6 of the 40 CE hours in the practice of supervision
  • 15 of the 40 CE hours may be taken online

CE Approvals

Athealth.com courses are available to social workers in MN.  The Board accepts programs offered by ASWB approved sponsors. Programs are available for continuing education credit through the co-sponsorship of At Health, LLC, and Amedco, LLC.  Amedco, #1346, is approved as a provider for social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB), through the Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Amedco maintains responsibility for the program. ASWB Approval Period: 6/24/2016 to 6/24/2019.
