Recent advances in clinical research have made it possible to diagnose Autism Spectrum Disorders very early in life. These assessments often take place in school settings, made possible by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.
In this interview, Mrs. Paula Leifer, LCSW, long-time school social worker and consultant discusses this assessment process.
