Dr. Robin Peterson has been researching dyslexia and other learning disorders since she was in graduate school. As a grad student, she worked closely with Bruce Pennington and co-authored many chapters in the second edition of his book (Diagnosing Learning Disorders, Second Edition), and she’s now an official co-author on the third edition coming out in January 2019. This interview covered the following:

Author Bio
Dr. Peterson is a pediatric neuropsychologist whose primary research interests center around dyslexia and related disorders. She also has research interests in the areas of traumatic brain injury and spina bifida. Dr. Peterson has trained through the Colorado Learning Disorders Resource Center since 2004. She is board certified in clinical neuropsychology and is assistant clinical professor at Children’s Hospital Colorado/University of Colorado School of Medicine, where she evaluates and treats children with a range of brain-based disorders. She also participates in mentorship of graduate students, predoctoral interns, and postdoctoral fellows.
Dr. Jeremy Sharp is a licensed psychologist and Clinical Director at the Colorado Center for Assessment & Counseling, a private practice was founded in 2009 Dr. Sharp earned his undergraduate degree in Experimental Psychology from the University of South Carolina before getting his Masters and PhD in Counseling Psychology from Colorado State University. These days, Dr. Sharp specializes in psychological and neuropsychological evaluation with kids and adolescents.
As the host of the Testing Psychologist Podcast, Dr. Sharp provides private practice consulting for psychologists and other mental health professionals who want to start or grow psychological testing services in their practices. He lives in Fort Collins, Colorado with his wife (also a therapist) and two young kids.
