This program discusses motivators that get male batterers in the door (treatment engagement) and keep them in the room (treatment compliance). The goal of the therapy is to help batterers break their patterns of abuse, learn new coping skills, and adopt healthy behaviors to sustain successful, nonviolent intimate relationships.

Target audience: Psychologists, mental health counselors, marriage and family therapists, addiction counselors, nurses.

This course does not offer ASWB ACE CE credit to social workers.

Format: Asynchronous, reading-based distance learning. Non-interactive.
