This module on motivation and treatment is part of the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism Social Work Curriculum on Alcohol Use Disorders.
The primary author of this module is Allen Zweben, DSW, Professor, Helen Bader School of Social Welfare and Director of the Center for Addiction and Behavioral Health Research, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Isabel Ellis, MSW, Public Health Analyst, Health Sciences Education Branch, Office of Research Translation and Communications, NIAAA, NIH, was the project officer for this effort, and co-authored the modules on alcohol and intimate partner violence and alcohol and the family. She was also responsible for coordination and implementation of project development, pilot testing, and training for social work educators on the use of these curricular materials.
