Description

The Rorschach has been a source of mystery and debate in our field for decades now. As someone who went through grad school at a time when the Rorschach had fallen out of favor, Dr. Sharp doesn't use it and knows very little about it. That’s why he is so grateful to talk with Dr. Joni Mihura, co-author/developer of the Rorschach Performance Assessment System (R-PAS).

The R-PAS has come to be regarded as the most current set of norms and administration guidelines for the Rorschach, and Joni shares a wealth of knowledge not only on the R-PAS but the Rorschach in general. Here are just a few things discussed in the interview:

  • The history of the Rorschach
  • The state of the Exner scoring system
  • Key differences between the comprehensive system and the R-PAS
  • Clinical utility for the Rorschach

Target audience: Psychologists, mental health counselors, marriage and family therapists, addiction counselors, nurses.

This course does not offer ASWB ACE CE credit to social workers.

Format: Asynchronous, distance learning. Non-interactive. Recorded audio with transcript.

Content Category: Testing/Assessment/Clinical

Potential Conflict of Interest: Dr. Mihura is the co-editor of Using the Rorschach Performance Assessment System (R-PAS) and the Handbook of Gender and Sexuality in Psychological Assessment—and the co-developer of a new Rorschach system, the Rorschach Performance Assessment System (R-PAS), for which she presents invited lectures and trainings internationally.

This CE course is designated as beginner level.

This interview was published in September of 2019.
