In this two part course, The Testing Psychologist, Dr. Jeremy Sharp, sits down with Dr. Julia Strait to talk about all things trauma. Including:
- Acute trauma vs. developmental/complex trauma
- “Concept creep” (i.e., can anything count as trauma?)
- The pros and cons of the DSM-5 trauma conceptualization and diagnostic options
- Interviewing for traumatic experiences
- Measures to assess trauma
- Differential diagnosis of trauma and other concerns like ADHD, ASD, and others
- Feedback and report-writing with a trauma-informed lens
