Continuing Education for Alaska MFTs

CE requirements for Alaska marriage and family therapists:

  • Must complete 45 hours of continuing education every 2 years, including 2 hours of professional ethics, 2 hours in addictions, 2 hours in cross cultural education, and 2 hours in domestic violence
  • No more than one-half of the total number of CE hours may be earned from individual study
  • Board accepts courses from other behavioral health disciplines as long as program relates to marriage and family therapy

CE Approvals

The Alaska Board of Marital and Family Therapy accepts programs from APA approved sponsors. At Health is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. At Health maintains responsibility for the program.

AK MFTs can earn twenty-two (22) of their CE credits online through athealth.com.
