Denise Davis, PhD, is assistant director of training in clinical psychology at Vanderbilt University. Co-author of numerous book chapters and articles on cognitive therapy, she has combined academic work with the active clinical practice of cognitive and behavioral therapy. She has held faculty appointments at Indiana University School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry; Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis, Department of Psychology; Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry; and Vanderbilt University School of Arts and Science, Department of Psychology. She is a Founding Fellow of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy and founding editor of the journal, Cognitive and Behavioral Practice. She has published more than 25 scholarly articles and book chapters, and with Dr. Aaron Beck and Dr. Arthur Freeman, she co-authored Cognitive Therapy of Personality Disorders.
