Description

Do you work with kids on the “preschool diet”? In other words, eating mostly white and brown foods, with little variation or color? Maybe you work with kids with more serious medical concerns requiring a G-tube or with a diagnosis of Failure to Thrive? The realm of diet and eating can be hard to navigate, so in this interview Dr. Jeremy Sharp sits down with Dr. Lani Jones, a nationally-recognized speaker and licensed psychologist, to talk all about feeding issues in little ones. Here are just a few things that they touched on:

  • The two questions to ask in order to determine whether kids’ eating habits are “normal”
  • The process for a feeding evaluation
  • Which professionals you need to have on your referral list to make sure these kids are being supported
  • Which diagnoses tend to see the most overlap with feeding issues

Interview Conducted: 4/2020

Target audience:  Psychologists, mental health counselors, marriage and family therapists, addiction counselors, nurses.
