Alzheimer's Disease (AD), the most common of the dementias, is a progressive brain disorder that occurs gradually and results in irreversible memory loss, unusual behavior changes, personality changes, and a decline in thinking abilities. This clinical practice guideline provides care recommendations for AD management. The guideline assumes that a proper diagnosis of Alzheimer's Disease has been made using reliable and valid diagnostic techniques. Guideline topics include assessment, treatment, patient and caregiver education and support, and legal considerations. The course is presented in a PDF format only.

Target audience: Psychologists, mental health counselors, marriage and family therapists, social workers, addiction counselors, nurses.
