For this course, Dr. Jeremy Sharp sits down with Dr. Erika Vivyan to talk all about OCD. They discuss definitions and manifestations of OCD, along with ways to assess OCD symptoms in children. They also get into the typical rule-outs when considering a diagnosis of OCD, including ADHD and ASD.

ABOUT DR. ERIKA VIVYAN
Erika Vivyan, PhD is a bilingual (English & Spanish) Licensed Psychologist and an expert in assessing and treating anxiety, OCD, and behavioral problems in young people. She helps kids, teens, and young adults to figure out how their brains work best so that they can meet their goals for home, school, and career. In her “free time,” Dr. Vivyan is also a fitness instructor, and she enjoys calming her own worries through running, dancing, kickboxing, and weight training.
ABOUT DR. JEREMY SHARP
Dr. Jeremy Sharp is a licensed psychologist and Clinical Director at the Colorado Center for Assessment & Counseling, a private practice that he founded in 2009. Dr. Sharp earned his undergraduate degree in Experimental Psychology from the University of South Carolina before getting his Master’s and PhD in Counseling Psychology from Colorado State University. These days, he specializes in psychological and neuropsychological evaluation with kids and adolescents.
As the host of the Testing Psychologist Podcast, Dr. Sharp provides private practice consulting for psychologists and other mental health professionals who want to start or grow psychological testing services in their practices. He lives in Fort Collins, Colorado with his wife (also a therapist) and two young kids.
