Continuing Education for Social Workers in Ohio

CE requirements for OH social workers (SWA, LSW, LISW, LISW-S):

• 30 clock hours of CE every 2 years, including 3 hours of ethics
• LISW-S holding the supervising designation must also include 3 hours of supervisory training in addition to ethics
• Board accepts 30 hours of online training for social workers

CE Approvals

Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board accepts courses provided by ASWB approved providers. Athealth.com courses are currently available for Ohio social workers. 

At Health, LLC, Provider #1707, is approved as an ACE provider to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit.  ACE provider approval period: 5/3/2023-5/3/2026.
