Continuing education (CE) requirements for Florida social workers:
- Thirty (30) hours of continuing education (CE) every 2 years as follows:
- General Hours – 25 hours
- Ethics and Boundaries or Telehealth – 3 hours At Health offers over 20 Ethics courses.
- Medical Errors – 2 hours (All medical errors courses must be approved by the Florida Board of Psychology. Athealth.com does not currently offer a medical errors course.)
- Florida Laws and Rules – 3 hours every third renewal. These hours are included in the 25 general hours. (Athealth.com has numerous courses that meet the requirement for Ethics and Boundaries referenced above. However, athealth.com does not currently offer a Laws and Rules course.)
- Domestic Violence – 2 hours (Due every 6 years. These hours are included in the 25 required general hours). Click here to view our Domestic Violence Course – Domestic Violence: Counseling Clients Involved with Violent Intimate Partners – that meets this requirement.
- Renewal Date: 3/31 of odd years
CE Approvals:
At Health, LLC has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 6949. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. At Health, LLC is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
The Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy & Mental Health Counseling accepts courses from ASWB approved sponsors.
At Health, LLC, Provider #1707, is approved as an ACE provider to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE provider approval period: 5/3/2023-5/3/2026.
There is no limit on the number of hours earned through online or home study courses.
Florida social workers can earn 25 of their general credits and 3 of their ethics and boundaries credits online through athealth.com.
