Continuing Education (CE) for LPCs in North Carolina

Continuing education (CE) requirements for licensed professional counselors (LPC, LPCA, and LPC Supervisors) in North Carolina:

  • Forty (40) continuing education (CE) hours every 2 years, including a minimum of 3 hours of ethics. The required Jurisprudence Exam (which is not offered by athealh.com) counts for 5 contact hours in ethics.
  • Renewal date: June 30th of the renewal year
  • LPC Supervisors must take a minimum of 10 hours in clinical supervision. This is in addition to the 40 hours for a total of 50 CE hours.

CE Approvals:

The North Carolina Board of Licensed Professional Counselors accepts courses offered by APA approved providers up to 15 contact hours. At Health is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. At Health maintains responsibility for the program and its content.
