Continuing education (CE) requirements for alcohol and drug counselors in Maryland:
- Must earn forty (40) CE hours every 2 years.
- At least thirty (30) of these hours must be in Category A activities. Not more than ten (10) CE hours can be in Category B activities. Online distance learning courses are considered Category B activities.
CE Approvals
The Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists accepts courses offered by providers approved by NAADAC.
