Continuing Education for Addiction Counselors in South Dakota

CE requirements for SD addiction and prevention professionals (CAC, LAC, CPS):

• Must complete 40 hours of continuing education every 2 years
• Dually credentialed practitioners are required to submit 60 contact hours every two years
• Renewal Date: 1/1 and 7/1 every 2 years

The South Dakota Board of Addiction and Prevention Professionals accepts programs offered by NAADAC approved providers. At Health, LLC is approved as a continuing education provider by the National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC) Provider #148460.

SD addiction and prevention professionals can earn 40 of their CE credits online through athealth.com.
