CE requirements for social workers in Alaska if the licensee who have been licensed for at least 12 months during the concluding biennial licensing period:
- AK social workers must complete 45 hours of CE every 2 years, including 6 hours in substance abuse, 3 hours in professional ethics, 6 hours in cross-cultural education of which 3 hours must relate to Alaska Natives, 3 hours in teletherapy practice, and 3 hours in suicide education
- AK social workers can earn all of their credits online
- A maximum of 12 hours can be earned in any one day
- Board accepts courses from other behavioral health disciplines as long as program relates to social work
- Renewal Date: 6/30 even-numbered years

CE Approvals

At Health, LLC, Provider #1707, is approved as an ACE provider to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE provider approval period: 5/3/2023-5/3/2026.
AK social workers can earn all forty-five (45) of their CE credits online through athealth.com.
