Continuing Education for Idaho Social Workers

CE requirements for ID social workers (LCSW, LSW, LMSW):

  • Twenty (20) hours of continuing education (CE) every year, including 1 hour of professional ethics
  • ID Board accepts Internet based courses and home study as long as it’s interactive or there is an examination. All of the athealth.com courses include an examination.
  • The subject matter of all continuing education shall be germane to the practice of social work and may include the specialties of marriage and family therapy, psychiatry, psychiatric nursing, or psychology.

CE Approvals: The Idaho Board of Social Work Examiners accepts courses sponsored or approved by professional associations. At Health is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. At Health maintains responsibility for the program and its content.

The State Board of Idaho accepts programs offered by ASWB approved sponsors. Programs are available for continuing education credit through the co-sponsorship of At Health, LLC, and Amedco, LLC.  Amedco, #1346, is approved as a provider for social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) www.aswb.org, through the Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Amedco maintains responsibility for the program. ASWB Approval Period: 6/24/2016 to 6/24/201
