Continuing Education for Kentucky Licensed Professional Art Therapist

CE requirements for licensed professional art therapists in Kentucky:

  • LPAT: 40 hours of CE every 2 years
  • LPATA (associate): 18 hours every 2 years
  • Must include at least 3 hours of CE on ethics

All CE hours must be in or related to the field of professional art therapy.

Psychological and psychotherapeutic theories and practice
Art therapy assessment
Art therapy theory and practice
Client populations
Art theory and media
Professionalism and ethics

CE Approvals

The Kentucky Board of Licensure for Professional Art Therapists accepts courses from APA and NAADAC approved sponsors. At Health (athealth.com) is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Athealth.com is approved as a continuing education provider by the National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC) Provider #148460.

The Kentucky Board of Licensure for Professional Art Therapists accepts programs offered by ASWB approved sponsors. Programs are available for continuing education credit through the co-sponsorship of At Health, LLC, and Amedco, LLC.  Amedco, #1346, is approved as a provider for social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB), through the Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Amedco maintains responsibility for the program. ASWB Approval Period: 6/24/2016 to 6/24/2019.

Assuming they select courses with acceptable content, licensed professional art therapists in Kentucky can earn all of their credits online through athealth.com.
