Continuing Education for LPCs in South Dakota

CE requirements for SD professional counselors (LPC, LPC-MH):

• Must complete 40 hours of continuing education every 2 years, including 4 hours of professional ethics
• Supervisors must also complete 4 hours of supervision among the 40 hours
• Board accepts online learning
• Renewal Date: Annually per calendar year

CE Approvals

The South Dakota Board of Counselors and Marriage and Family Therapist Examiners accepts programs offered by NBCC approved providers.

At Health, LLC has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 6949. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. At Health, LLC is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
