Continuing Education for Ohio MFT

Attention: Several states and disciplines have relaxed requirements regarding live / in person Continuing Education due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Please check with your board to see the most current requirements.

CE requirements for Ohio marriage and family therapists (LMFT):

  • 30 clock hours of CE every 2 years, including 3 hours of ethics
  • Board accepts 30 hours of online training for MFTs, but courses must be pre-approved by the Board

CE Approvals

The Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board requires that each CE course be pre-approved individually for approval. Therefore, courses are not available for OH marriage and family therapists at this time.  However, after completing a course, MFTs may be able to request post program approval from the Board.
