CE requirements for CO licensed professional counselors (LPC):
- 40 PDH (professional development hours) every 2 years
- No more than 20 PDH in a single PDA (or category)
- Renewal Date: 6/30 of odd years
Professional development hours (PDH) must enhance, improve or develop competence in professional counseling and be directly relevant to your learning plan and learning goals.
Professional development activities (PDA)Â include: Volunteer Service, Consultation, Supervision, Presenting, Coursework, Publication, Independent Learning. No more than 20 PDH can be credited in a single PDA category during a 2-year renewal cycle. For example, a professional can earn 20 hours in coursework and 20 hours in independent learning to fulfill the requirement.
CE Approvals
The Colorado State Board of Licensed Professional Counselor Examiners does not not approve or endorse any courses or providers of education. If the activity meets the board's requirements it will be accepted.At Health, LLC has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 6949. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. At Health, LLC is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
