CE requirements for professional counselors in DC:

• Professional counselors must complete 40 hours of continuing education every 2 years, including 6 hours of ethics and 4 hours in trauma counseling
• DC Professional counselors can earn 40 CE hours online
• Renewal: 12/31 even-numbered years

CE Approvals

The DC Board of Professional Counseling accepts programs from NBCC approved sponsors. At Health, LLC has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 6949. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. At Health, LLC is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
