Continuing Education for Idaho Professional Counselors

CE requirements for ID professional counselors:

• Twenty (20) hours of continuing education (CE) every year, including 3 hours of professional ethics
• Ten (10) hours can be earned online.
• Ethics courses cannon be earned online unless the program is live and the counselor can interact with the instructor.

CE Approvals

The State Board of Idaho accepts programs offered by ASWB approved sponsors. At Health, LLC, Provider #1707, is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved as ACE providers. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. At Health, LLC, maintains responsibility for this course. ACE provider approval period: 5/3/2023-5/3/2026.

Please note: Every state has different continuing education requirements. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the attendee to validate that the course will meet the requirements of his/her state licensure.

ID professional counselors can earn ten (10) of their continuing education credits online through athealth.com.
