CE requirements for Alaska addiction and behavioral health counselors:

Chemical Dependency Counselor Technician
Chemical Dependency Counselor I
Chemical Dependency Counselor II
Behavioral Health Technician
Behavioral Health Counselor I
Behavioral Health Counselor II
Advanced Behavioral Health Counselor

• All of the above practitioners must complete 40 hours of CE every 2 years, including 3 hours of ethics and 3 hours of confidentiality
• The Alaska Commission accepts online learning
• Renewal Date: 6/30 of odd years

CE Approvals

The Alaska Commission for Behavioral Health Certification accepts programs from NAADAC approved sponsors. At Health, LLC is approved as a continuing education provider by the National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC) Provider #148460.

AK addiction and behavioral health counselors can earn all forty (40) of their CE credits online through athealth.com.
