CE for California Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT)

California marriage and family therapists (LMFT) are required to take:

  • 36 hours of CE (continuing education) every 2 years, including 6 hours of ethics every renewal period
  • 7-hour continuing education course in HIV-AIDS. This is a one-time only CE requirement
  • Course content should be relevant to the practice of the license held and to maintaining or improving the skill and competency of the licensee

CE Approvals:

The CA Board of Behavioral Sciences accepts programs from APA approved sponsors. At Health is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to sponsor continuing education for psychologists.

CA LMFTs can earn all thirty-six (36) of their credits online through athealth.com
