California marriage and family therapists (LMFT) are required to take:
- 36 hours of CE (continuing education) every 2 years, including 6 hours of ethics every renewal period
- 7-hour continuing education course focusing on HIV-AIDS HIV/AIDS characteristics, assessment, and treatment. This is a one-time only CE requirement
- 6-hour continuing education course in Suicide Risk Assessment and Intervention. This is a one-time only CE requirement
- Telehealth a one-time 3-hour course in the provision of mental health services via telehealth.
- Course content should be relevant to the practice of the license held and to maintaining or improving the skill and competency of the licensee
CE Approvals:
At Health, LLC has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 6949. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. At Health, LLC is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
At Health, LLC, Provider #1707, is approved as an ACE provider to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE provider approval period: 5/3/2023-5/3/2026.
