Continuing education (CE) requirements for licensed marriage and family therapists (LMFT, LMFTA) in NC:
- Twenty (20) hours of continuing education (CE) each year, including 3 hours of ethics. Seventeen (17) of the hours must be related to practice of marriage and family therapy
- The North Carolina Marriage and Family Therapy Board accepts both live and online courses that relate to marriage and family therapy.
- Renew annually: June 30
North Carolina LMFTs and LMFTAs can earn all twenty (20) of their CE credits online through athealth.com.
