Continuing Education for Alcohol and Drug Counselors in Idaho

Attention: Several states and disciplines have relaxed requirements regarding live / in person Continuing Education due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Please check with your board to see the most current requirements.

CE requirements for ID alcohol and drug counselors (ACADC, CADC):

  • Twenty (20) hours of continuing education (CE) every year, including 2 hours of professional ethics
  • Ethics courses cannot be earned online.

CE Approvals

The Idaho Licensing Board of Alcohol/Drug Counselor Certification accepts courses provided by NAADAC approved providers. Athealth.com is approved as a continuing education provider by the National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC) Provider #148460.

Idaho professional counselors can earn eighteen (18) of their continuing education credits online through athealth.com.
