Continuing Education for Idaho Marriage and Family Therapists

Attention: Several states and disciplines have relaxed requirements regarding live / in person Continuing Education due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Please check with your board to see the most current requirements.

CE requirements for ID marriage and family therapists (MFT):

  • Twenty (20) hours of continuing education (CE) every year, including 3 hours of professional ethics
  • Ten (10) hours can be earned online.
  • Ethics courses cannon be earned online unless the program is live and the counselor can interact with the instructor.

CE Approvals

The Idaho Licensing Board of Professional Counselors and Marriage and Family Therapists accepts courses provided by APA approved providers. At Health, LLC is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. At Health, LLC maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

The State Board of Idaho accepts programs offered by ASWB approved sponsors. At Health, LLC, Provider #1707, is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved as ACE providers. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credits. At Health, LLC, maintains responsibility for this course. ACE provider approval period: 6/3/2020-6/3/2023.

Please note: Every state has different continuing education requirements. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the attendee to validate that the course will meet the requirements of his/her state licensure.

ID marriage and family therapists (MFTs) can earn ten (10) of their continuing education credits online through athealth.com.
