Continuing Education for Nebraska Marriage and Family Therapists

CE requirements for NE certified marriage and family therapists (CMFT):

• 32 hours of CE, including 2 hours of ethics, every 2 years
• Online limited to 20 hours per renewal period
• Renewal: September 1st of every even-numbered year

CE Approvals

The Nebraska Division of Behavioral Health accepts relevant programs from providers approved by the APA. At Health, LLC is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. At Health, LLC maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

The State Board of Nebraska accepts programs offered by ASWB approved sponsors. At Health, LLC, Provider #1707, is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved as ACE providers. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. At Health, LLC, maintains responsibility for this course. ACE provider approval period: 5/3/2023-5/3/2026.

Please note: Every state has different continuing education requirements. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the attendee to validate that the course will meet the requirements of his/her state licensure.
