CE requirements for NJ addiction counselors (LADC, MLADC, LCS, CADC, CRSW):
LADC - Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor
MLADC - Master Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor
- 40 hours every 2 years, including 6 hours of in legal standards related to the practice of alcohol and drug counseling in New Jersey
- 3 hours in cultural competence
- Maximum of 20 hours of online learning
CADC - Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor
- 60 hours every 2 years, including 6 hours in legal standards related to the practice of alcohol and drug counseling in New Jersey
- 3 hours in cultural competence
- Maximum of 30 hours of online learning
LCS - Licensed Clinical Supervisor
- 40 hours every 2 years per above LADC requirements, including 6 hours of training in clinical supervision
CRSW - Certified Recovery Support Worker
- 12 hours every 2 years
