Continuing Education for Social Workers in Minnesota

CE requirements for MN social workers (LSW, LGSW, LISW, LICSW):

  • All licensees must earn 40 CE hours, including 2 hours in ethics every 2 years
  • LICSW licensees must take 24 of the 40 CE hours in clinical content
  • Licensing supervisors must take 6 of the 40 CE hours in the practice of supervision
  • 15 of the 40 CE hours may be taken online

CE Approvals: MN Board of Social Work accepts courses provided by ASWB approved providers. Programs for social workers are available for continuing education credit through the co-sponsorship of At Health, Inc., and Amedco, LLC. Amedco, #1346, is approved as a provider for social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB), through the Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Amedco maintains responsibility for the program.
