Attention: Several states and disciplines have relaxed requirements regarding live / in person Continuing Education due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Please check with your board to see the most current requirements.
CE requirements for ND professional counselors (LPC; LPCC):
- LPCs (licensed professional counselors) must complete 30 hours of continuing education every 2 years, including at least 3 hours of professional ethics
- LPCCs (licensed professional clinical counselors) must complete 40 hours of continuing education every 2 years, including at least 3 hours of professional ethics and 10 hours focused on clinical counseling
- LPCs and LPCCs can earn one-half of their continuing education hours by self-study and distance learning
- Renewal Date: 2 years from date of issuance
CE Approvals
The North Dakota State Board of Counselor Examiners accepts programs offered by NBCC approved providers. At Health, LLC has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 6949. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified.
