Continuing Education for Marriage and Family Therapists in KS

Attention: Several states and disciplines have relaxed requirements regarding live / in person Continuing Education due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Please check with your board to see the most current requirements.

CE requirements for Kansas marriage and family therapists (LMFT, LCMFT):

  • 40 CE hours every 2 years, including 3 hours of ethics and at least 6 hours of CE related to the diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders
  • Board accepts online programs with a posttest
  • Board allows 40 CE hours of online study

CE Approvals

The Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board accepts continuing education programs oriented to the enhancement of marriage and family therapist's practice, values, ethics, skills, or knowledge. At Health's CE programs meet the continuing education criteria of K.A.R. 102-5-10 for Kansas marriage and family therapists.
