Continuing Education for Michigan Psychologists

Attention: Several states and disciplines have relaxed requirements regarding live / in person Continuing Education due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Please check with your board to see the most current requirements.

CE requirements for MI psychologists (PhD, PsyD):

  • 30 hours of continuing education every 2 years, including 3 hours of ethics, 2 hours in the area of pain and symptom management, and at least 1 hour in identifying victims of human trafficking (this is a one-time requirement)
  • Continuing education hours in pain and symptom management may include, but are not limited to, courses in behavior management, psychology of pain, pharmacology, behavior modification, stress management, clinical applications, and drug interventions as they relate to professional practice.
  • No more than 12 hours of continuing education can be earned during one 24-hour period.

Our 1-Credit course on Human Trafficking meets the continuing education requirements for healthcare providers in Michigan. This is a one-time requirement.

CE Approvals

The Michigan Board of Psychology accepts programs from APA approved sponsors. At Health, LLC is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. At Health, LLC maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
