Continuing Education for Social Workers in Ohio

CE requirements for OH social workers (SWA, LSW, LISW, LISW-S):

  • 30 clock hours of CE every 2 years, including 3 hours of ethics
  • LISW-S holding the supervising designation must also include 3 hours of supervisory training in addition to ethics
  • Board accepts 30 hours of online training for social workers

CE Approvals: Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board accepts courses provided by ASWB approved providers. Programs for social workers are available for continuing education credit through the co-sponsorship of At Health, Inc., and Amedco, LLC. Amedco, #1346, is approved as a provider for social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) www.aswb.org, through the Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Amedco maintains responsibility for the program.
